1. Who we are

Likeplan (“we”, “us”) is a web app that helps solo travellers in Australia find compatible road-trip buddies. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can ask us to delete it.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Likeplan, we may collect:

• Account information from Facebook Login — your name, email address, Facebook user ID, and profile photo, when you choose to sign in with Facebook.
• Trip profile details you enter — such as home base, departure city, destination, dates, travel style, car/ride preferences, buddy preferences, and optional fun facts.
• Technical information — basic usage data such as pages visited and approximate device/browser information, which may be collected by our hosting and analytics providers to keep the service working.

3. How we use your information

We use this information to:

• Create and manage your Likeplan account
• Show your trip profile to other travellers and calculate compatibility matches
• Communicate with you about your account or trip listing when needed
• Keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and improve the product

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Facebook Login

When you use “Sign in with Facebook”, Facebook shares limited profile information with us according to the permissions you approve (typically name, email, and public profile photo). Your use of Facebook is also governed by Meta’s own terms and privacy policy.

5. Where we store data

Account and profile data are stored using Supabase (authentication and database hosting). The Likeplan website may be hosted on providers such as Vercel. These providers process data on our behalf to run the service.

6. Sharing

Trip profile information you choose to publish (for example your first name, route, dates, and travel preferences) can be visible to other Likeplan users so matching can work. We may also share information with service providers who help us operate the app, or if required by law.

7. How long we keep information

We keep your account and trip information while your account is active, or until you ask us to delete it. We may retain limited records if needed for security, legal, or troubleshooting reasons.

8. How to delete your data

You can request deletion of your Likeplan account and associated personal data at any time.

1. Email us at mko22@outlook.com.au with the subject line “Likeplan data deletion request”.
2. Include the email address linked to your Facebook / Likeplan account.
3. We will delete your account data from Likeplan (including your stored profile record) within 30 days, unless we are legally required to keep certain information longer.

You can also remove Likeplan’s access to your Facebook account in your Facebook settings under Apps and Websites. That stops future Facebook login sharing; it does not always delete data already stored in Likeplan, so please email us for a full deletion request.

9. Your choices

• You can choose not to sign in with Facebook (you won’t be able to list a trip while Facebook login is required).
• You can edit the trip details you enter before publishing them.
• You can request access to or deletion of your personal data by emailing us.

10. Children’s privacy

Likeplan is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of Likeplan after an update means you accept the revised policy.
